Refunds and returns
Last updated 6 September 2026.
Everything we sell comes with the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing on this page takes those away.
If something is faulty
If a harp or an accessory you bought from us is faulty, is not as we described it, or does not do what it should, you are entitled to a remedy under the Australian Consumer Law. For a minor problem we will repair it, or replace it, within a reasonable time. For a major problem you can choose a refund, a replacement, or to keep it and be compensated for the drop in value.
Tell us as soon as you notice the problem, by phone or by email, with photographs if it is something you can photograph. Most faults on a harp can be looked at in our own workshop.
Used instruments
Second-hand harps are described honestly, with their age and condition, and the consumer guarantees still apply to them with that age and condition taken into account. We would much rather you came in and played a used instrument before buying it, and we will always tell you what we know about its history.
Changing your mind
We are not required to accept a return because you have changed your mind, and on a harp we generally cannot: an instrument is set up, regulated and often ordered or built for its buyer. Talk to us before you buy, come and try the instrument, and if something is worrying you afterwards ring us. We will do what we reasonably can.
Unused accessories in their original packaging can usually be exchanged or credited. Ask us and bring the receipt.
Instruments ordered for you
Some models are brought in from the maker to order, or built for you in our workshop. These are bought on a deposit, and we will put the deposit terms, the expected time and the balance in writing before you commit. If the maker cannot supply what was ordered, the deposit is refunded.
Delivery damage
If an instrument arrives damaged, do not accept a delivery that is obviously damaged, or if you have already accepted it, photograph the packaging and the damage and contact us the same day. We will sort it out with the carrier; you should not have to.
How refunds are paid
Refunds go back to the payment method you used. Card and Afterpay refunds can take several business days to appear, which is the bank's timing rather than ours.
